Due to the nature of laser engraving and natural materials, each item is unique and may vary slightly from product images or previews.

4. Custom Orders & Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring all submitted text, spelling, and artwork are correct.
  • By submitting designs, you confirm you have the legal right to use them.
  • We are not liable for errors approved by the customer prior to production.

We reserve the right to refuse any order containing unlawful, offensive, or infringing content.

5. Engraving Preview Approval (Mockup Requirement)

For custom orders, we may provide a digital proof or mockup prior to production.

  • Production will not begin until approval is received (when a proof is provided).
  • Approval confirms that layout, spelling, design, and placement are correct.
  • Once approved, no changes can be made, and the order becomes final.
  • If a customer delays approval, production timelines will be extended accordingly.

6. Material Disclaimer (Important)

Because we work with natural and coated materials, variations are expected and are not defects.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Wood: grain variation, knots, color differences, resin pockets, and potential cracking over time
  • Metal (coated/anodized): tone variation, slight color shifts, and engraving contrast differences
  • Glass: micro-fractures, frosting variation, and edge inconsistencies
  • Stone: natural pits, uneven surfaces, and color variation

These characteristics are part of the material’s natural or manufactured nature and are not grounds for refunds.

7. Pricing and Payments

  • All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.
  • Full payment is required before production begins.
  • Payments are processed securely via third-party providers.

8. Production and Turnaround Time

  • Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Delays may occur due to order volume, material availability, or unforeseen issues.
  • We are not liable for delays outside our control.

9. Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
  • We are not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages, or delivery issues once shipped.
  • Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery confirmation.

10. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Custom Orders

  • All custom or personalized items are final sale and non-refundable, unless defective or damaged.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photo evidence.
  • We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.

Non-Custom Items (if applicable)

  • Returns accepted within [X] days if unused and in original condition.

Cancellations

  • Orders may only be canceled before production begins.

11. Commercial Use & Resale

Customers may use or resell physical products purchased from AJ Artisan Etchworks.

However:

  • Our original designs, artwork, product photos, and branding may not be copied, reproduced, or resold without permission.
  • Custom designs created specifically for a customer may not be reproduced by us for resale unless agreed otherwise.

12. Bulk / B2B Orders

For large or bulk orders:

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required before production begins
  • Deposits secure materials, labor, and production time
  • Once production has started, the order is non-cancelable
  • Additional terms may apply and will be communicated per order

13. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site—including logos, images, text, and designs—is the property of AJ Artisan Etchworks and protected by intellectual property laws.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AJ Artisan Etchworks is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our Site or products.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

All products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, except where required by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AJ Artisan Etchworks from any claims arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
